    2023 — YSEALI REGIONAL WORKSHOP | Hanoi, Vietam

    Yvie Nicolas was the youngest of the 10 representatives of the Philippines to the YSEALI Regional Workshop 2023. In this workshop, Yvie shared her insights on the internalization of higher education in the context of the Philippine education system and how it can help on the pressing concerns experienced by the youth today according to the strategies of the Philippine Youth Development Plan 2023-2028. This event was attended by other youth representatives from the ASEAN Member States and Timor Leste.

    As youth representative of the Philippines, Yvie discussed the current digital landscape in the country and proposed recommendations to ASEAN, specifically on the thematic area of entrepreneurship. This dialogue resulted to policy recommendations conveyed to the ASEAN Leaders at the 42nd ASEAN Summit in Labuan Bajo, Indonesia.
